National capability. Local ADVANTAGE.
Home Ground is a national alliance of eight independently owned regional construction companies. We call them our partners. Together, we deliver commercial construction projects across New Zealand as one coordinated alliance, while keeping ownership, decision-making and economic value in the regions where the work is done.
Built on regional strength
Each Home Ground partner is locally operated, with deep experience, strong relationships and established supply chains in their region.
This means projects are delivered by people who live and work in the communities they serve, and the benefits of each project, including jobs, apprenticeships and investment, stay local.

Our new name
We changed our name from NZ Construction Alliance to Home Ground Construction Alliance in October 2026. The work, the partners and the model are unchanged. The name now says what we are, a national alliance owned by regional partners who have the home ground advantage.
Leadership & Governance
Home Ground is led by experienced construction leaders from across the partner businesses, supported by a shared governance structure.

Positive intent
We assume the best of each other and of our clients.
Where it all began
Home Ground was formed in 2018 when a group of regional construction companies came together to explore how they could deliver national programmes without losing local capability.
The result was a new model, a formal alliance of independently owned builders working together to share knowledge, resources and capacity.
The first national programme was delivered later that year, and the alliance has since grown to include eight partners across New Zealand.

Built for national delivery
Home Ground was created to solve a simple challenge. How do you deliver national construction programmes without removing work, value and decision-making from local communities? The answer is strong regional builders working as one alliance.
