Highbrook Trade Training Facility

Skills Organisation needed a purpose built home for trade based learning in south Auckland. The site was an existing industrial building at Highbrook, sound in structure but unsuited to teaching in its original form.

The timeline was exceptionally short. An early contractor involvement approach brought construction knowledge into the project before the design was locked, and open book procurement produced value engineering options and a firm lump sum price before any work started on site.

The building now holds classrooms, office space and staff amenities, carried by extensive electrical and mechanical upgrades throughout. Internal and external spaces were both reworked. The facility opened in January 2025.
